wkk law welcomes new partner specialised in commercial criminal law and criminal tax law and launches a new office in Berlin

As of September 1, the renowned expert in criminal law Dr. Felix Ruhmannseder joins wkk law as a partner. Aged 42, Ruhmannseder leaves the Vienna office of Baker McKenzie, where he worked on white-collar crime matters.

Since 2005, Felix Ruhmannseder has been a lawyer and has been working in Vienna for more than eight years. He is admitted to the bar in Germany as well as in Austria and is therefore qualified to advise clients in both jurisdictions on commercial criminal law and criminal tax law. Before moving to Austria in 2012, Ruhmannseder practiced law in Germany for six years. From 2013 to 2018, he was the key contact person at the Vienna office of the law firm Zirngibl, where he further developed his reputation as compliance specialist and defence lawyer in commercial criminal law and criminal tax law matters. Ruhmannseder has continued to focus his legal advice on the Austrian and German jurisdictions during his last two years as senior associate at Baker McKenzie. This is also the reason for the expansion of the existing law firm locations in Vienna and Salzburg by a new branch of wkk law attorneys at law in Berlin.

"In this way, we are expanding our advice in white-collar and corruption criminal proceedings as well as in criminal tax law with a proven expert in this field. We can now increasingly offer preventive advice as well as the establishment and evaluation of compliance measures, a field that is highly demanded by our clients. In cross-border cases, which are particularly frequent between Austria and Germany, we will be able to offer our clients advice on a one-stop basis", states founding partner of wkk law in Vienna, Dr. Norbert Wess.
